Ceremony on September 20 at Substage
For the 14th time, the CyberForum business network is giving the coveted CyberChampions Award; now the finalists are fixed. The award is aimed at startups and companies from the digital economy, based in the extended Technology Region of Karlsruhe (TRK). On 20 September the winners will be announced at a ceremony in the Substage.

“The CyberChampions Award is a highlight for us every year,” says David Hermanns, CEO of CyberForum. “The competition provides a platform for founders and companies from the IT and high-tech sector and is giving new impetus.”
Over 50 applicants, 13 finalists and five awards are on this year’s CyberChampions’-Agenda:
Who stands out with its ideas and projects? From logistics companies to accounting software to 3D printing – an experienced jury of business, science and politics, the most promising candidates from the digital industry voted for the final of the CyberChampions Award 2017.
Six newcomers in the finals for “Best Startup”
Whether games companies, wearables for the industry or simulation technologies: In the “Best Startup” category, young entrepreneurs are distinguished in the start-up phase and start-ups, which are active for a maximum of two years in the market.
The jury assesses not only the potential of the business model, the scalability or the unique setting, but also the appearance of the founders and the team composition. This year’s finalists are Fluffy Fairy Games, GoSilico, Kinemic, Memetis, WineRisk and Zenkit.
“Best Corporate” for Company in the Technology Region Karlsruhe
An above-average growth has been achieved, a new market has been opened up, or there have been special corporate social responsibility activities?
For the first time, well-established companies will also receive the CyberChampions Award. This year, it is above all the innovation dynamics and forward-looking approach of the applicants. Because of their extraordinary development, seven IT and high-tech companies were selected as finalists in the “Best Corporate” category: AfB gemeinnützige GmbH, Apium Additive Technologies GmbH, Dr. Thomas + Partner GmbH & Co. KG, Jamit Labs GmbH, race result AG, SEVENIT GmbH und tech-solute GmbH & Co. KG.
Added Value for CyberChampions
The winners of the CyberChampions Award expect material and financial prizes worth more than € 17,000, including a consulting voucher, coaching packages and a place in the CyberLab, the IT Accelerator of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Also, the init innovation award, endowed with € 5,000, is awarded for pioneering developments.
The award ceremony will take place on 20 September 2017 at 6 pm in the Substage at the Alter Schlachthof (Old Slaughterhouse) in Karlsruhe.
The event is in German. Admission is free.
